Nat Gould

William Wright 1826-1904

William Wright was born in Bradbourne in 1826, the son of William Wright 1796-1882 and his wife Elizabeth Gould 1802-1843.

He married Sarah Anne Redfern 1834-1904 at Hartington on 11 February 1858. In 1891 he was farming at Town Farm in Bradbourne, with sons Thomas Edward and Frank Wright.

Their children were:

Mary Elizabeth Wright. She was born on 27 June 1859. She married Joseph Watson of Ballidon.

Helen Wright. She was born on 11 August 1861. She died unmarried on 27 November 1945 aged 84.

William Wright 1863-1951. He married Hannah Elizabeth Tomson 1866-1936 and farmed at Pike House, Thorpe in Derbyshire, and later lived at Hill Crest in Thorpe. He died in 1951 and was buried at Thorpe.

Charles Henry Wright 1866-1929.

Thomas Edward Wright 1867-1943. He was born on 13 February 1867 and died on 29 June 1943 aged 75.

Frank Wright 1869-1954. He was born on 26 July 1869 and died on 31 July 1954.

Arthur Wright 1873-1958.

Their father William Wright died on 30 October 1904 aged 78. At the time of his death he had been farming at Park Gate in Bradbourne. He was buried at Bradbourne.

His wife Sarah Anne Wright nee Redfern died shortly afterwards, on 25 November 1904.
