Mary Elizabeth Wright was born in Bradbourne on 27 June 1859, the daughter of William Wright 1826-1904 and his wife nee Sarah Anne Redfern 1834-1904.
In 1889 she was married to Joseph Watson, born in 1859 at Brassington, Derbyshire. They had no children.
When the 1891 Census was taken they were living at Ivy House, Church Street in Brassington. Joseph Watson was then a farmer employing two men. By 1901 they had moved to Cow Close Farm in nearby Ballidon, and were there in 1911.
Mary Elizabeth Watson died in 1946, her husband having predeceased her in 1937 aged 79 years.
