Robert Gould was born in 1824 at Sheen in Staffordshire, the son of John Gould 1786-1860 and his wife née Jane Alsope 1782-1854.
In 1861 he married Ann Slack at Sheen in Staffordshire. She was born in 1835 at Sheen.
They had the following children:
Jane Ann Gould 1862-1916. She was born in 1862 and died in 1916. In 1881 she was married to Thomas Wain, presumably at Sheen in Staffordshire. He was born in 1863 at Wetton in Staffordshire, the son of Ralph and Mary Wain.
John Gould. He was born in 1864 and died in 1943.
Mary Elizabeth Gould. She was born in 1866.
Richard Gould. He was born in 1872.
Sarah Hannah Gould. She was born in 1874.
Their father Robert Gould died on 13 March 1903 at Sheen.
