Eleanor Phillips was born in 1803, the daughter of John Phillips 1782-1852 of Warslow in Staffordshire and his wife née Jane Berrisford 1789-1860.
She was married to Sampson Sutton 1801-1874, and they lived in Warslow. He was the son of Stephen and Elizabeth Sutton, and was baptised at Warslow on 22 April 1804. They had the following children, all born in warslow:
Elizabeth Sutton. She was born in 1836. She was married to William Ford. He was a lead miner, born in Warslow in 1837. They lived in warslow and had the following children, all born in Warslow: William Samspon Ford (born in 1860), Edward Ford (born in 1862), Hannah M Ford (born in 1865) and Jane A Ford (born in 1867). William Sampson Ford married Ellen Harrison in 1893 at Dudley in Staffordshire, and they had two children George William Ford (born in 1895) and Mary Elizabeth Ford (born in 1898( both living in 1911. Their father William Sampson Ford became a railway engine driver by 1901 and they lived at Walton in Liverpool.
George Sutton. He was born in 1838, and baptised at Warslow on 15 July 1838.
Sampson Sutton. He was born in 1844, and baptised at Warslow on 17 March 1844.
Mary Eleanor Sutton. She was born in 1845.
Joseph Sutton. He was born in 1846. By 1881 he was living with his wife Emily and their son Joseph at 2 Roberts Row in Hanley, Staffordshire. He was then employed as a potter's porter, and his wife was a biscuit warehousewoman.
Their father Sampson Sutton died 1874.
His widow Elizabeth Sutton née Phillip was living with her son Joseph Sutton and his family at Hanley when the 1881 Census was taken. She died in 1884.
