Ralph Phillips was born in 1741, the son of John Phillips 1722-1775 and his wife née Martha Newton 1700-1755.
He married Ann Birch (born 1741). They had the following children, all born in Alstonefield parish:
Thomas Phillips. He was born in 1766.
Sarah Phillips. He was born in 1768.
Ralph Phillips. He was born in 1772 and died in 1773.
Ralph Phillips. He was born in 1780 and died in 1859.
John Phillips. He was born in 1782 and died in 1852 at Longnor in Staffordshire. He married Jane Berrisford 1789-1860, and they had two sons: John Phillips 1806-1891 and Joseph Phillips 1816-1893.
