They lived at 5 Lillian Street, Beswick in Manchester, and by 1911 at 50 Mitchell Street in Ancoats, Manchester. Her father was a drayman, working in 1891 for a railway company and later for a local brewery.
Hannah Bartram was married to Charles Eastwood Locking 1888-1962 of Manchester on 3 June 1911 at St Silas's parish church, Ardwick in Manchester. He was the son of William Lidgett Locking 1851-1914, a walking stick maker of 143 Princes Street in Manchester and his wife nee Mary Eastwood 1858-1914.
They had the following children:

When the First World War broke out their father Charles Eastwood Locking enlisted in the 1st Lincolnshire Regiment as a private soldier on 4 December 1914. He served on the Western Front in France, but was very severely wounded. He was discharged from army service on 17 September 1917. He died in 1962 at Caistor in Lincolnshire (1).
His wife Hannah Locking née Bartram went into nursing during the First World War, and had to make a career for herself and son. She had a guest house at Scarborough in Yorkshire. In her later years she lived at Stuart House, 2 Aberdeen Place in Scarborough.
She died on 15 April 1948 at Ravensmere Nursing Home, 26 Grovenor Crescent in Scarborough aged 62 years. Her Will was proved at York on 1 June 1948 (2).
