William Bennington was born in 1805 at Wendling in Norfolk, the son of Benjamin Bennington of Wendling and his wife nee Ellen Skipper.
He married Ann [[maiden surname unknown] born in 1811.
In 1851 he was working as a "hairdresser &c" at The Beach, Sidmouth in Devon. Living with them was his widowed sister Lydia Holland nee Bennington and her son Frederick Holland, born in 1845 at Chelsea in Middlesex. Lydia Holland was working there as an assistant in the shop.
Their children were:
William Bennington 1840. He was born in London in 1840.
Eliza Bennington 1842. She was born in London in 1842.
William Bennington died in Devon in 1856.
