George Gregory was born in 1863 in Manchester, the son of Charles Gregory and his wife nee Catherine Critchley. She was born in 1829 and was known as Kate.
He became a moulder in an iron foundry.
In 1881 he was living with his parents and their other children at Long Street in Manchester. By 1881 they had moved to 3 Beckett Street, also in Manchester.
He married Susannah Pender in 1886 at Manchester. She was born in 1864 in Manchester.
They had the following children, all born in Manchester:
Charles Edwin Gregory. He was born in 1888. He married Mary Bennington 1882-1952 in 1908.
Sarah Gregory. She was born in 1889.
James Gregory. He was born in 1893.
Margaret Gregory. She was born in 1901, and was known in the family as Maggie.

In 1891 the family were living at 10 Croom Street in Manchester. By 1901 they were at 33 Branson Street in Manchester, and by 1911 at 32 Gibbon Street, Ancoats in Manchester. They had six children, of whom three had died and three were living in 1911.
George Gregory died in Manchester in 1944 aged 80 years.
His wife Susannah Gregory had predeceased him. She had died in 1938 aged 73 years also in Manchester.
