In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Gould of Hanson Grange in the County of Derby Gentleman being in good health and of sound and disposing Mind and Memory do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) First I will that every just Debt Funeral Charges and the Charges of proving this my Will to be paid and satisfied Also I Give and Devise my two undivided fifth parts of All that Messuage Farm or Tenement Lands Hereditaments and Premises situate and lying at Mathfield [[Mayfield] in the County of Stafford And also one undivided fifth part of All that Messuage Farm Lands Hereditaments and Premises lying and being at Hollington in the Parish of Checkley and said County of Stafford now in the possession of [[blank] Shemilt unto my Loving Wife Elizabeth and her Assigns during her natural Life and from and after her decease I Give and devise the same unto my Son William his Heirs and Assigns for Ever Also I Give and Bequeath unto my said Dear Wife to be paid by my Executor hereinafter named out of my Personal Estate the Sum of Thirty Six Pounds the same to be paid and payable by two equal half Yearly Payments (that is to say) on every twenty ninth Day of September and the twenty fifth Day of March for and during the Term of her natural Life the first of such Payments to commence and be made on such of the said Days as shall first and next happen after my decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my said Dear Wife All and every my Household Goods of what Nature Kind or Quality soever the same be with Power to dispose of the same to such one or more of my Children as She Shall think Proper I Give and Bequeath to my Younger Children Margaret Mary Ellen George and Hannah the Sum of Six hundred Pounds apiece All which said last mentioned Legacies I will shall be paid by my Executor hereinafter named at their several and respective ages of Twenty one Years And if it shall happen that any one or more of my said Younger Children shall die before his her or their Legacy or Legacies shall become due and payable then I will that the Legacy of Legacies of such and to so many of them as shall so happen to die be paid to and equally divided amongst my said Son William and the Survivor or Survivors of all and every my Younger Children Also it is my Will and Mind that my Executor hereinafter named shall pay to my said Younger Children Interest for their said Legacies after the Rate of four Pounds and ten Shillings for one hundred by the Year from the time of my Death till such time and times as they shall respectively become due and payable for and towards their maintenance Support and Education I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Ann the Wife of Mr. John Branch my Daughter Margaret my Son Richard my Daughter Elizabeth the Wife of Mr. William Bowman my Daughters Mary Ellen and Hannah and my Son George the Sum of One hundred Pounds apiece the same to be paid to them by my Executor within Six Months next after my wifes decease but the same not to carry any Interest Also I Give and Bequeath to my said Wife the Guardianship and Tuition of all my Younger Children till such time or times as they shall respectively attain their several ages of Twenty one Years if my said Wife happen so long to live and continue my Widow and Unmarried but no longer and from and after her decease or second Marriage which shall first happen I Give and Bequeath the Guardianship and Tuition of my said Younger Children unto my said Son William till they shall severally attain their said respective ages of Twenty one Years And all the rest residue and remainder of my Real and Personal Estate whatsoever And also the possession and Tenantright of all my Farms I Give devise and bequeath unto my said Son William his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns And I do constitute and appoint my said Son William my Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and declaring void all former and other Will and Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Testator Thomas Gould have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal the fourteenth Day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety four Thos Gould [[Seal]

Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said Testator Thomas Gould as and for his last Will and Testament In the Presence of us who in his Presence at his Request and in the Presence of each other have Subscribed our Names as Witnesses thereto
