Walter Eld was the son of Richard Eld 1546-1621 of Seighford Hall at Seighford in Staffordshire and his wife nee Margaret Wrottesley.
He was baptised on 27 June 1596 at Seighford church, and became a merchant in London.
He married Rose (maiden surname unknown).
They had a daughter Dorothea Eld. She was baptised on 27 September 1632 at Milwich in Staffordshire.
