Thomasin Greensmith 1823-1853

Thomasin Greensmith was born at Thorpe in Derbyshire on 2 August 1823, the daughter of Thomas Greensmith 1785-1876 and Thomasin his wife nee Thomasin Goodwin Gould 1787-1853.

In 1849 she was married to Samuel Berisford, son of Samuel Berisford a farmer of Ballidon in Derbyshire and his wife Jane (maiden surname unknown). He was born in Ballidon in 1827, and was a wine merchant and grocer trading at 46 Mill Street in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

They had a son William Berisford born in 1850 at Thorpe.

Thomasin Berisford died on 21 March 1853 (1), and was buried at Thorpe where there is a memorial gravestone.
Her husband died in 1903 at Buxton in Derbyshire.
