Sarah Goodwin was born in 1740, the daughter of Anthony Goodwin and his wife nee Hannah Gould 1701-1790.
The family lived at Great Rocks Farm in Wormhill parish in Derbyshire. The site of their home has now been quarried away by the eastward extension of Tunstead Quarry.
Sarah Goodwin was baptised at Wormhill on 1 January 1740. She is mentioned in a letter from Richard Gould 1741-1820 to his son John Gould 1784-1814.
She died unmarried in 1806, and was buried at Wormhill on 9 February 1806.
