Mary Johnson 1727-1798

Mary Johnson was born on 13 September 1727 at Parwich in Derbyshire, the daughter of Ralph Johnson 1672-1755 and his wife nee Grace Spencer 1694-1772. She was baptised on 13 April 1727 at Parwich.

On 9 January 1751 she was married at Alstonefield in Staffordshire to Edmund Buxton Goodwin 1720-1777. He was born in 1720, the son of Richard Goodwin 1679-1763 and his wife nee Elizabeth Buxton 1682-1776.

Edmund Buxton Goodwin died on 28 December 1777. His wife Mary Goodwin died on 21 February 1798.

They had the following children:

Mary Goodwin. She was baptised on 30 May 1754, and died on 24 October 1815.

Richard Goodwin Johnson. He was baptised on 20 July 1756 at Tissington.

Frances Goodwin. She was baptised on 23 May 1758 at Tissington.

Elizabeth Goodwin.

Edmund Goodwin. He died aged seven months old, and was buried at Tissington.

Anne Goodwin.

Francis Goodwin. He was born in 1756 and died on 7 August 1796.

John Goodwin Johnson. He was baptised on 25 May 1771, and died on 8 April 1838.

Thomasin Goodwin. She was born in 1752. She died on 23 March 1787, and was buried at Tissington.
