John Goodwin Johnson 1771-1838

John Goodwin Johnson was born in 1771, the son of Edmund Buxton Goodwin 1720-1777 and his wife nee Mary Johnson 1727-1798. He was baptised on 25 May 1771 at Tissington in Derbyshire.

He married Annie Beresford on 11 July 1811. He died on 8 April 1838, and was buried on 14 April 1838 at Tissington. His wife died on 8 February 1864, and was buried also at Tissington.

They had the following children:

John Goodwin Johnson. He was baptised on 10 April 1814 at Bradbourne in Derbyshire. On 2 August 1842 he married Martha Elizabeth Goodwin, daughter of Francis Goodwin and and his wife nee Frances Gladwin, at Ashbourne in Derbyshire. They lived at The Callow in Mappleton, Derbyshire. He died on 21 October 1871 at Tissington aged 87 years, and was buried on 27 October 1871 at Tissington. His wife died in 1873 aged 60 years, and was buried on 2 January 1874 at Tissington.

Mary Goodwin Johnson. On 2 October 1832 at Fenny Bentley in Derbyshire she was married to the Reverend Henry Thomas Buckston, son of the Reverend George Buckston and his wife nee Frances Walhouse. Henry Buckston died on 6 December 1842, and his wife died on 16 January 1880.

Ann Berresford Goodwin Johnson 1816-1878. She was baptised on 28 January 1816 at Bradbourne. She died in 1878 aaged 62 years nd was buried on 22 November 1878 at Tissington.
