Sarah Wright was born in Bradbourne on 5 April 1839, the daughter of William Wright 1796-1882 and his wife Elizabeth Gould 1802-1843.
She married Frederic Dormer Grove of Birmingham on 4 May 1870 at Mayfield near Ashbourne. He was born in 1827. They had two daughters.
The family were living at 39 Bradford Street, Walsall in 1871. Frederic Grove was a Rate Collector. In 1881 they were living in Warwick Road, Acocks Green.
By 1891 Frederic Grove had retired and was living with his wife Sarah at Ivy Cottage, Upper Mayfield near Ashbourne.
Their children were:
Jane Elizabeth Grove. She was born in Walsall on 10 January 1864.
Alice Susan Grove. She was born in Walsall on 27 September 1866. She married Frank Wright. She was widowed early, and at the time of the 1891 Census she was boarding at 58 Promenade in Southport with her three year old daughter Mary G. Wright (born in Rusholme, Manchester) and her aunt Mary Gould the mother of Nat Gould.
Jane Elizabeth Grove, Alice Susan Grove and Mary G. Wright were all evidently dead by 1 May 1911 when the Hanson Mount Agreement was made, as it was there stated that no descendants of Sarah Grove nee Wright were then living.
