Nat Gould

Joseph Gould 1756-1840

Joseph Gould was born in 1756 at Alstonefield in Staffordshire, the son of John Gould 1717-1784 and his wife née Parnell Horobin 1725-1782.

He married Ann Greatorix 1765-1848 on 21 November 1785 at Morton in Derbyshire by licence and with the consent of her parents. She was born in 1765 at Mapleton in Derbyshire.

They had the following children:

John Gould. He was born in 1786 at Morton, and baptised there on 30 January 1786. He married Jane Alsope on 3 April 1809 at Hartington in Derbyshire by licence. She was born in 1782, the daughter of Richard and Sarah Alsope of Heathcote in Hartington parish.

Mary Gould. She was born in 1788.

Hannah Gould. She was born in 1790 and died in 1895.

Thomas Gould. He was born in 1793.

Anthony Gould. He was born in 1801.

Ann Gould. She was born in 1802.

Joseph Gould. He was born in 1804 and died in 1888.

William Gould. He was born in 1807 and died in 1831,

Benjamin Gould. He was born in 1809 and died in 1810.

Their father Joseph Gould died in 1840 at Sheen.

His widow Ann Gould née Greatorix died in 1848 at Sheen.
