Will of Margaret Goodwin 1726

In the Name of God amen I Margaret Goodwin of Pilsbury grange in the Parish of Hartington and County of Derby Widow being of Sound Mind and Perfect Memory (praised be God for the same) Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following Imprimis I Committ my Soule into the hands of God my Creator and to Jesus Christ My Redeemer in and through whose Merritts I trust my Soule to have Eternal life and my Body to be decently Buryed at Chelmarton As for my worldly Estate I do order give and dispose of as followeth, Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Mannifould the Sum of Twelve pounds & Ten shillings to be paid her within one year next after my decease by my Executors hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Dorothy Melland and to her Children (her daughter Margarett excepted) the Sum of Twelve pounds & Ten shillings to be Equally devided amongst them within one year next after my decease And whereas there is Twenty pounds of my Money put forth to Interest in my Son Richard Goodwins name which my will and mind is That my Son pay the Interest of that money as it becomes due unto my daughter Dorothy during her life and at after her decease he shall [[at deleted] then pay the aforesaid Sum of Twenty pounds unto my Grandaughter Margarett Melland Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Thomas Lomas the Sum of Twelve pounds & Ten shillings to be paid him within one year after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Gould and to her children that are now born the Sum of Twelve pounds & Ten shillings to be Equally distributed amongst them by my Executors within one year after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Richard Goodwin and to his children that are now born the Sum of Twelve pounds & Ten shillings to be Equally distributed amongst them within one year after my decease Item it is my will and mind that the Household Goods that is now standing in the House at Hordlow shall not be removed but shall stand in the house for the benefitt of my Grandson Joseph Goodwin & his heirs Item I give unto my Daughter in Law Elizabeth Goodwin the sum of one Guinea All the remainder of my Estate whatsoever I give unto my Executors for the paying of my funeral Expences and the charges of proving this my Will And I do nominate and appoint my Son Richard Goodwin & my Son in Law Joseph Gould to be Executors to this my last Will and Testament I revoke all former Wills and declare this to be my last Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set to my hand and Seal this Twenty Sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Twenty four –
