Mary Peake

Samuel Peake was born in 1669, the son of Samuel and Ellen Peake, and baptised on 19 January 1669 at Ellenhall in Staffordshire.

He married Margaret Eld, daughter of Francis Eld and Elizabeth Palmer on 2 April 1700 at Madeley in Staffordshire. Margaret Eld was baptised on 28 October 1681 at Blockley in Gloucestershire.

They lived at Willowbridge Lodge, and had the following children:

Samuel Peake. He was baptised on 8 April 1701 at Seighford in Staffordshire. He inherited land at Yarnett from his father and property from his uncle Thomas Peake. He married Sarah (maiden surname unknown).

Margaret Peake. She was baptised on 14 October 1707 in Mucklestone Staffordshire. She was married to Thomas Lea on 10 February 1724.

John Peake.

Michael Peake 1709-1770. He was born on 29 September 1709, and was baptised on 28 October 1709 at Mucklestone in Staffordshire. He was mentioned in the Will of his uncle Francis Eld dated 1766. He married Sarah Smith on 1 February 1739 at St. Mary's church in Stafford . They lived at Lammascote in Stafford, and had three sons and three daughters. His Will was proved on 10 August 1770.

Thomas Peake 1712-1772. He was baptised on 20 March 1712 at Mucklestone in Staffordshire. He lived at Ribbesford in Worcestershire, and later at Lammascote in Stafford. He was mentioned in the Will of his uncle Francis Eld dated 1766. On 2 January 1762 he married Mary Plant of Swinnerton at Swinnerton, and had a son Thomas Plant Fletcher Peake, baptised at Ribbesford on 16 August 1762. He died in 1772 and was buried on 27 November 1772 in Swinnerton. His Will was proved on 8 October 1773, in which he made bequests to his wife and to his nephews Samuel Peake, Thomas Peake, Francis Eld Peake (sons of his brother Samuel Peake) and Samuel Tunnicliffe. He left a copyhold estate at Newnham in the parish of Lidridge in Worcestershire to his brother-in-law Thomas Plant.

Ann Peake was christened on 16 Aug 1715 in Mucklestone Staffordshire.

Francis Peake. He was baptised on 13 February 1718 at Mucklestone. He died in 1754, and was buried on 31 May 1754 at Berkswich in Staffordshire.

Mary Peake.

Their father Samuel Peake died in 1724. His Will was proved on 18 February 1723/24.
