Mary Anne Moore 1782-1857

Mary Anne Moore was born in 1782, the daughter of Ambrose Moore and his wife née Ann Wilson 1758-1803.

On 25 November 1806 she was married to John Hickson at Barrow-on-Trent in Derbyshire.

They had a daughter Elizabeth Hickson 1810-1863.

John Hickson died in 1811.

His widow was married to George Wayte on 27 May 1824 at Barrow-on-Trent. He was born in 1782 at Milton near Repton in Derbyshire, the son of John Wayte 1737-1806 and his wife nee Jane Clark 1736-1805. When the Census was taken in 1841 they were living at Barrow-0n-Trent, but by 1851 they had moved to Repton.

They had the following children:

William George Wayte. He was born in 1837, and was baptised at Repton on 21 May 1837. He died in 1876, and was buried at Repton on 2 August 1876.

Mary Jane Wayte. She was born in 1845, and was baptised at Repton on 29 March 1845. She was married to William Dakin (born in 1840) on 27 October 1868 at Repton.

Their mother Mary Anne Wayte died on 11 May 1857 at Repton, and was buried at Repton on 16 May 1857.

Their father George Wayte died in 1862, and was buried at Repton on 3 October 1862.
