Margaret Dain 1814-1848

Margaret Dain was born at Newhaven near Hartington in Derbyshire in 1814, the daughter of Henry Dain 1779-1857 of Newhaven and his wife nee Margaret Walters 1788-1842. She was baptised at Hartington on 22 February 1814.

On 24 March 1846 she was married to Henry Flint by licence at Hartington. He was the son of Joseph Flint of South Wingfield in Derbyshire and his wife nee Anne Warren.

They had twin sons:

George Flint. He was born on 5 May 1848 and died in the same year.
Henry Flint. He was born on 5 May 1848, and baptised at South Wingfield on 8 May 1848.

Margaret Flint died in 1848 aged only 34 years, and was buried at Hartington on 13 May 1848.

Her husband Henry Flint remarried in 1855, his second wife being Elizabeth Mycroft 1816-1897.
Henry Flint died at Nottingham in 1875 aged 63 years.
His second wife Elizabeth Flint died at Chesterfield in Derbyshire in 1897 aged 82 years.
