The Crofts Farm

Jethro Horobin was born in 1861 at Crowdecote in Hartington parish in Derbyshire, the son of William Horobin 1807-1886 and his wife nee Mary Edge 1825-1913.

He was baptised on 11 August 1861 at Earl Sterndale church in Derbyshire.

In 1898 he married his cousin Rachel Horobin. They lived at the Crofts Farm, situated south of Longnor village in the upper Manifold valley in Staffordshire. They had no children.

Jethro Horobin died on 25 November 1927 aged 66 years.

His wife had predeceased him on 15 February 1919 aged 66 years.

They were buried at Earl Sterndale where there are monumental inscriptions to their memory.
