Bryan Selwyn Egerton 1885-1973

Bryan Selwyn Egerton was born on 12 May 1885 at Bloxham in Oxfordshire, the son of Hubert Decimus Egerton 1848-1932 and his wife née Annie Horner 1846-1926.

He served throughout the First World War in the London Regiment (1) the 28th County of London Battalion Royal Field Artillery (Artists' Rifles).

In 1917 he suffered a horse-riding accident in which he injured the base of his spine (2). He was demobilsed in 1920.

Afterwards he became a commercial traveller for a concrete machine company. He lived at Well Place Farm, Penshurst in Kent (3).

He died on 3 April 1973 aged 87 years in Thanet, Kent.
