Hannah Phillips was born in 1823 at Warslow in Staffordshire, the daughter of Ralph Phillips 1780-1859 and his wife née Eunice Nadin born in 1785.

She was married to William Phillips, born at Tring in Hertfordshire in 1813. They lived at Clough Head in Warslow, and had the following children, all born in Warslow:

Joseph Phillips. He was born in 1846, and baptised at Warslow in that year. He married Ellen Landon on 18 May 1860, and they had two children: Mary Ellen Phillips and John William Phillips, both baptised at Warslow on 22 September 1872. Ellen Phillips née Landon died in 1879 aged 28 years. Joseph Phillips died in 1924 aged 78 years.

William Phillips. He was born in 1852, and baptised at Warslow on 29 August 1852.

Ralph Phillips. He was born in 1855, and baptised at Warslow on 19 February 1855. He died on 13 June 1861 aged six years and five months. He was buried at Warslow, where there is a monumental inscription inscrbed to his memory as follows: "This lovely bud, so young and fair, cut off in early bloom just came to show how sweet a flower in paradise would bloom".

John Jervase Phillips. He was born in 1857. In 1881 he was unmarried and living with his then widowed mother farming at Clough Head in Warslow. He died in 1925 aaged 66 years.

Hannah Phillips. She was born in 1860, and baptised at Warslow on 8 May 1823. She was married in 1884 to Charles Bartram 1853-1929, born at Marchington in Derbyshire. He was a drayman, working for a brewery in Manchester, and they lived at 5 Lillian Street, Beswick in Manchester. She died in 1930.

Eunice Ann Phillips. She was born in 1862. In 1882 she was married in Leek to William Gaunt 1857-1919 born in Burslem, Staffordshire. At first they lived in Leek but later moved to Gorton in Manchester, where she died in 1940 aged 77 years.

Ralph Abraham Phillips. He was born in 1865, and baptised at Warslow in that year. When the 1881 Census was taken he was aged sixteen and working as an indoor farm servant on the farm of widowed Annie Maria Frith at Mixon near Onecote in Staffordshire, but by 1891 he was a railway carter living with his wife and daughter at 14 Charlie Street, Ardwick in Manchester. In 1888 he had married Emma Ellen Hopkins in Manchester. She was born in 1867.

Ellen Phillips. She was born in 1868. She was married to Walter Henry Phillips 1865-1941, born in Warslow in 1865 and baptised there on 13 August 1865. He was her second cousin once removed. They had ten children, and succeeded to her parents' farm at Clough Head in Warslow. Ellen Phillips died in 1902.

Their mother Hannah Phillips died in 1888.

Her husband William Phillips had predeceased her in 1873.
