Elizabeth Eld 1627-1692

Seighford Church

Elizabeth Eld was born in 1627, the daughter and heiress of John Eld of Seighford Hall near Stafford and his wife nee Mary Bill. She was baptised on 11 March 1626/1627 at Seighford in Staffordshire.

On 1 May 1650 she was married to William Peake at Seighford (1).

He lived at Lammascote near Stafford, and was the son of William Peake of Lammascote who died in 1658 and was buried on 27 June 1658 at St. Mary's church in Stafford.

They had the following children, all baptised and buried at Seighford:


Mary Peake. She died in 1654, and was buried on 14 June 1654.

Mary Peake. She was baptised on 12 August 1655. She died in 1687, and was buried on 18 November 1687.

Margaret Peake. She was baptised on 13 December 1657.

Peter Peake. He was baptised on 8 April 1660. He died in 1694, and was buried on 12 March 1694.

Abigail Peake. She was baptised on 3 March 1662.

Their mother Elizabeth Peake nee Eld died in 1692, and was buried on 14 November 1692 at Seighford.

Her husband William Peake died in the same year, and was buried at Seighford on 2 November 1692.
