The Will of Samuel Francis Marryat 1855
This is the last Will and Testament of me Samuel Francis Marryat late of Langham in the County of Norfolk but now residing at Mercer Lodge Kensington Gore in the County of Middlesex Esquire I give devise and bequeath All the real and Personal estate in England the United States of America or elsewhere to which I shall be entitled at the time of my death unto my dear wife Frances Marryat her heirs executors administrators and assigns according to the nature or quality thereof but as to the estates vested in me upon trust or by way of mortgage subject to the equities affecting the same respectively And I appoint my said Wife guardian of my infant children during their respective minorities And I also appoint my said Wife sole Executrix of this is my Will And I hereby revoke every or any other Will or Testamentary disposition by me heretofore made and declare this writing to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this second day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty five - Samuel Francis Marryat - Signed by the said Samuel Francis Marryat as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses - Mary Musgrave Turner - Angelina Harrison
On the 12 July 1856 Administration (with the Will annexed) of the Goods Chattels and Credits of Samuel Francis Marryat formerly of Langham in the County of Norfolk but late of Mercer Lodge Kensington Gore in the Parish of St Margaret Westminster in the County of Middlesex Esquire deceased was granted to Augusta Marryat Spinster the natural and lawful Sister of the said deceased having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer, Frances Marryat Widow the Relict of the said deceased the sole Executrix and Universal Legatee named in the said Will having renounced the Probate and Execution of the said Will and the Letters of Administration with the same annexes of the Goods of the said deceased and Catharine Marryat Widow the natural and lawful mother and next of kin of the said deceased having also renounced the Letters of Administration (with the said Will annexed) of the Goods of the said deceased The said deceased not having left any lawful issue.
