Sarah Scott Church was born in 1837, the daughter of Thomas Church 1798-1860 and his wife nee Elizabeth Scott of Penang, Malaya.

She was married to Captain Malcolm Kemp Bourne, and they had the following children:

Robert Kemp Bourne. He was born in 1863.

Mabel Francis Bourne. He was born in 1866, and lived in Surrey. He died in 1950.

Malcolm Stuart Bourne. He was born in 1867, and lived in Surrey. He died in 1940.

Percy Trevor Bourne. He was born in 1867, and lived in Malta. He died in 1893.

Their mother Sarah Scott Bourne died in 1909.
