Rebecca Gould was born in 1735 at Brownhill in Warslow, the daughter of William Gould 1704-1757 and his first wife nee Dorothy Beresford.
She married Richard Hodgson of Winster in Derbyshire, and they had the following children (1):
William Hodgson. He is said to have been a soldier.
Richard Hodgson. He is supposed to have died in America.
Dorothy Hodgson. She married John Gill of Darley [Dale] in Derbyshire, a gardener. They had a daughter Bridget Gill of Rowsley in Derbyshire, who was wet nurse to Thomas Bateman 1792-1810, the infant son of Thomas Bateman 1760-1847.
