Luke Askey 1677-1745

Luke Askey was born in 1677 at Ashover in Derbyshire, the son of James Askey and his wife Hester (maiden surname unknown). He was baptised on 1 November 1677 at North Wingfield in Derbyshire.

He married Penelope Eyre on 21 October 1711 at Morton in Derbyshire.

They lived at Morton, and had the following children, all baptised there:

John Askey. He was born in 1710, and baptised on 15 May 1710.

Luke Askey. He was born in 1713, and baptised on 6 May 1713.

Luke Askey. He was born in 1716, and baptised on 2 September 1716.

Penelope Askey. She was born in 1719, and baptised on 26 August 1719.

Their father Luke Askey died in 1745, and was buried at Morton on 5 November 1745.

His wife Penelope Askey had predeceased him in 1725, and was buried at Morton on 6 July 1725.
